Looking at the map of Northern Iceland, you might think Ásbyrgi is a town or at least a village. In fact, it's nothing but a gas station with a shop (the only shop in 45 kilometers distance) and an impressing valley in the form of a horseshoe in the northern part of the Jökulsárgljúfur national park.
